Regner Ramos
Location:
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Regner Ramos holds a PhD in architecture from The Bartlett School of Architecture. He is a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Puerto Rico School of Architecture and Co-director of Wet-Hard Agency. Ramos is coeditor of the book Queer Sites in Global Context: Technologies, Spaces, and Otherness (Routledge, 2020); his project “Cüirtopia” is funded by the FIPI Grant (2020-2022); and his project “Coloso” is funded be Graham Foundation (2021-2023). Ramos’s research on the relationship between queerness and space is informed by experimental research methods, shifting between model-making, drawing, and performative writing. This year his work can be seen at the Venice Architecture Biennale (Venice), Museo Nogueira da Silva (Braga), Feldfünf Gallery (Berlin), Arcades KBR National Royal Library Brussels (Brussels), Museo MAXXI (Rome), and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico (San Juan).
