Clara Kraft Isono
Location:
London, UK

Clara is an architect, filmmaker, and educator. Her research explores the possibilities of film in telling architectural stories. Currently, she is working on two feature-length documentaries. One examines the work of the architect, Geoffrey Bawa, in the context of postcolonial Sri Lanka. The second, co-directed with Christopher Fischlein and Marie Ramsing, reimagines Can Lis, Jørn Utzon’s house in Mallorca, Spain, through the lens of mythical storytelling.

Clara is the director of Kraft Isono, a multidisciplinary film, architecture, and design practice. She holds an Architectural Association (AA) Diploma and a MA in filmmaking from the London Film School. For over two decades has taught architecture and filmmaking internationally. Since 2013 she has been running Architectural Design Studio Six at the Royal College of Art, with Guan Lee and Satoshi Isono. Currently, she is completing a Ph.D. at the London Film School.
